The surgical department at Marias Medical Center consists of one full time RN (supervisor) and one full time scrub tech. In addition, there are three part-time RNs and one part-time scrub tech. MMC has a Certified registered Nurse Anesthetist, Shari Rogler, who provides anesthesia and pain control services .There are two OR suites. The physicians do many of their own procedures and utilize the services of two general surgeons from outlying areas. Laprascopic, gynecological, obstetrical and general surgical procedures are performed here, with approximately 350 total per year. Flexible endoscopy procedures, 120 total yearly, are also performed here.  Eye surgeons and a urologist visit monthly, and weekly the services of a podiatric surgeon with ankle fixation certification are utilized.

The surgical department at Marias Medical Center has two OR suites where our general surgeons.  Performs a wide range of services.

• Breast biopsy

• Gall bladder
• Appendectomy
• Skin lesion/mass/cancer removal
• Hemorrhoid
• Bowel surgery/resection
• Central line placement

The emergency room is fully equipped    for any emergencies that may occur.
